RECIPES - Porridge Soup and Mango Yogtail

Yes, I finally manage to write my very first recipe post!
To be honest, i'm not really good at cooking. I can say, i am much different from my mother who always cook heavenly foods. Since i am married to a man who adores food so much, and i have such a pretty baby girl who needs a variety of healthy food, i think its time for me to learn how to cook properly (No more burnt food, no more salty food). Seriously.
Since Naaya was 1 year old, i've been thinking about including some recipes to my blog page but for some reasons it never happened. Its not even possible to take some pictures when you are still learning to cook and your kitchen looks like a wrecked ship.

Now, while i'm trying to building my confidence in the kitchen and becoming a kitchen goddess, i've decided to add Recipes Post on blog every week! Sounds delicious, huh? :p
Actually, the first menu that i'm going to post here is not really pretty, because it was a lunch packed for school. I'm in a rush so I don't have time to put it on a plate and decorate it.

Right: Mango Yogtail

PORRIDGE SOUP

Ingredients:

75 g Organic White Rice
800 ml Water
50 g Chicken Fillet, Diced
1 tablespoon Butter (Salted or Unsalted)
2 Garlic Cloves, chopped
50 g Carrots, diced
50 g Green Bean, diced
1 teaspoon Scallions, Thinly sliced
1/8 teaspoon Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt, plus more as needed
1 tablespoon Fried Onion

How to Cook:
  1. Cook the rice and water over a medium heat. Once boiling, add Chicken Fillet and Salted Butter, Boil the rice until tender. (Tips: To save your time: Soak the rice overnight. It will tender quicker)
  2. While waiting for the rice, saute garlic in a pan with butter until fragrant, then put it into the rice. Continue stir until the rice has completely broken down and the mixture is creamy. (Tips: The more you stir, the quicker the rice grains break down and the smoother the porridge)
  3. Add Carrots, Green Bean, cooked the vegetables until soft. Add Scallions, Sugar, Sea Salt, and Stir. Garnish with the Fried Onion, and Serve it in a bowl.
MANGO YOGTAIL
Ingredients:
100 ml Plain Yoghurt
300 g Mango Arumanis, set aside 50 g, thinly sliced

How to Cook:
In a blender combine the above ingredients. Blend until smooth. Garnish with the Mango Slice. Enjoy!
